''Elophila melagynalis'' is a species of moth of the Crambidae family. It was described from a specimen that was found in greenhouses of aquaristic plants in the United Kingdom but its exact origin was unknown. The author suggested the Far East.〔Agassiz, ''Entomologist's Gazette'' 1978 Vol. 29 No. 3 pp. 117-127〕 The presence of this moths has also been stated in La Réunion, Japan (the Ryukyus), Sri Lanka and Thailand.
